School Life

Students have many opportunities to become involved in our school community through athletics, house league activities and the arts. We are very proud of our sports teams and the respectful behaviour of our students at tournaments and track and field meets. Students have an opportunity to take private music lessons during the school day with Schroeder Nordholt or to take part in learning the guitar, keyboard and drums with our French/Arts teacher.  There are also opportunities to join in drama activities at school.

Students are invited to contribute to annual school fundraisers, such as the Terry Fox Run, Jump Rope for Heart, the Magazine Campaign, Sherwood's annual Christmas Craft Sale and many others. Senior students are encouraged to demonstrate their leadership skills by joining the Sherwood student leadership team in roles such as House League co-ordinators, Tech support, Social Event Co-ordinators, Student Ambassadors, Photographers and working on our Yearbook Committee.

Whether it is yearbook work, track and field, volleyball, basketball soccer, or participating in our school arts activities, Sherwood Public School (SPS) has activities for all students to have fun and share their talents. View or search our school calendar to see our activities for this month. SPS invites students and parents to join in our school's activities, and to take an active part in all that our school has to offer.
